Welcome to Park City Jane's List!  It's the free, daily, e-mail newsletter and web site we've designed with you in mind:  by moms, for moms!

The weather is wonderful and the days are getting longer (and your children are probably going to bed later, too!)--enjoy the start of the wonderful summer season!

 Our most popular week is offered twice this summer!  Bring a towel, sunscreen and see what all the fun is about! (There will be no swimming pool trips).

#3 July 13 - 16 Little Chefs:
Get ready for a yummy week as we sift, stir, mix and cook.  Bring your appetite!
 
#4 July 20 - 23 Mini Musicians:
We will explore the wonderful world of music, everything from singing silly songs to making instruments and having parades. ONLY 1 SPOT LEFT!
 
#5 July 27 - 30 Super Scientists:
We'll do all sorts of fun, simple science experiments this week.  Maybe a volcano, rubber eggs, balloon races, and even an ice cream project!  ONLY 1 SPOT LEFT!
 
#6 August 3 - 6 Tie Dye Mania:
Come play with us, mixing colors and tying patterns.  You'll even make your own groovy t-shirt!
 
#7 August 10 - 13 Water, Water Everywhere #2:

Farmer's Market

Hill Air Force Week

Don't get me wrong - Nadya Suleman - a.k.a. Octo Mom, who gave birth to EIGHT babies in January and already had six kids (yeah, that makes 14!!!!) has invited her fair share of scrutiny by courting the media, but some of the things I have read about her that are intended to paint her as an "unfit" mother are a little preposterous and presumably made by people who clearly have never taken care of one or two kids (let alone 14...14!!!) 24 hours a day, seven days a week... after week...after week. Bluegrass and Acoustic Musical Festival
June 5-7, 2009 at Historic Fort Buenaventura Park in Ogden.  There will be onsite Camping, Food & Drink, Kids' Area & Activities, Campfire Jams, Fishing on the Weber River. Kids' Activities include arts & crafts projects, face painting, hula-hoops, games and more! The Yo-Yo Man - World Champion and World Record Holder, Dale Myrberg will be there performing. Dolcetti Gelato
We may be far away from Italy, but you can enjoy a taste of it in our own backyard!  Dolcetti Gelato in Redstone (next to Cafe Rio) is a wonderful addition to our town.  Clean and nicely decorated, it is a great place to take the kiddies for a little snack in the hot days ahead.  For those needing to get a bit of work done, they have free Wi-Fi (take THAT, Starbucks).  For more information, go to www.dolcettigelato.com.  An unexpected plus:  with all of the construction around, your kids will LOVE to see the big cement trucks, cranes, diggers, etc.  We sat at a table on the sidewalk, ate gelato and the kids enjoyed the big trucks.  Best .99 cents EVER (price of kids gelato).

Nanny Available
I have a wonderful and caring nanny who I am looking to share with another family.  She currently cares for my 12 month-old son and has watched him since he was 2 months old.  She is fabulous with children.  She is Spanish speaking.  I can't say enough wonderful things about her.  If you would like to talk with me, please call Abby at (435) 659-6946.

Important Notice:  Kindergarten Registration
Please register your kindergarten-aged child as soon as possible. It helps the school district out tremendously if they can get kids registered as soon as possible. April/May registration is highly recommended because schools can get an accurate count for staffing needs. The schools can use the summer months to research, select and hire teachers if needed. It is not advised to wait until August to register your child. The schools have less time to find qualified teachers if they get a lot of late registrations. Please call your local school for more information.
