Parent/Child Skateboard clinic
Looking
for a fun activity to do with your children? Why not learn to
skateboard and enjoy the park together? You will learn tips and
tricks to get you on the board cruising the parks as a family. Adults
without children may register as an individual for the clinic, but
children must attend with a parent--all abilities welcome. Children
must be 6 years or older to participate. Participants must wear
helmets and pads; loaner equipment available upon request. The first
clinic is this Sunday and goes until May 17, 8:30 - 10 am at the park
city skate park. $50 per individual, $75 for two in the same family.

Prenatal Yoga Class
Pregnant
Mommies and new mommies alike will want to check out the prenatal yoga
classes at The Shop. Pre natal women will benefit from the physical
and mental advantages yoga can provide such as increasing strength,
circulation, flexibility and balance, reduction of swelling, back and
leg pain and insomnia. It also helps expectant mothers learn pain
management techniques for labor. Postnatal yoga practice will help new
moms regain their pre-baby form, can assist with reducing water
retension and swelling and can provide mental relaxatio
n through breathing and meditation practices. Classes are on Fridays

you looking for something to do with your tots that does NOT involve
playing in mud? Kids ages 3-5 can join Ms. Heather at the Park City
Library today at 10:00 a.m. for preschool story time. The children
will listen to stories, participate in songs, fingerplays and make an

New Book Club
The
fun mommies of Moms Meet-up of Park City have started a book club! The
book club will meet on the first Monday of the month and will rotate
houses. Members will bring either an appetizer or bottle of wine to
share. The first book will be "The Ten-Year Nap" by Meg Wolitzer. To

Home Depot Kids Workshop
If
Bob the Builder and Handy Manny are your child's role models, mark your
calendars now! Home Depot offers free monthly workshops for kids ages
5-12. The kids learn do-it-yourself skills and tool safety, while at
the same time having a blast building a cool, useful project that they
get to take home with them (along with a kid-sized apron!). They are
offered on the first Saturday of each month between 9 a.m. and noon
(the next one is May 2nd at our local Home Depot on Hwy 40 and they
will be building a wheel barrow!). If you have never been before you

Science At The Discovery Center
The
Little Scientist is an interactive class for children age three to six
and is offered at The Discovery Center every Thursday at 11 am, 12 pm,
2 pm and 3 pm in the Curiosity Shop. In this class children will be
encouraged to ask questions about nature and to seek answers, collect
things, count and measure, make observations, organize collections and
observations and experiment with everything science! For more

Healthy Meal For Your Picky Eater
Here
is a delicious, healthy supplement to make when your kid isn't eating.
Put in a cup with a straw and they will be very interested!
Blend the following ingredients until smooth:
2-3 cups milk or soy or rice bev
1 cup yogurt
1 banana
1 cup frozen blueberries
1/2 cup of your favorite fruit, frozen (strawberries, pineapple, papaya, mango)
2 tbsp. flaxseed oil or 4 tbsp flaxseed meal
4 ounces tofu
2 tbsp peanut butter
cinnamon or nutmeg to taste
1-2 servings of multivitamin/multimineral chocolate or vanilla-flavored protein
powder
Optional: 1 tbsp of honey for a sweeter taste
Serve immediately, while the mixture stil has a milkshake consistency.
Drink it together with your kid! This feed enough for two hungry
adults and a child.
