Riding the Point Reyes Equestrian Trails: A Comprehensive Guide, by Dennis Portnoy and Phily
The following is excerpted from a book review by Anne Sands and used with permission. Now horseback riders can expand their explorations of the Point Reyes National Seashore with confidence and a sense of adventure, without fear of getting lost. Dennis Portnoy and his Morgan mare, Phily, have created a horse-friendly and very detailed trail guide that fits easily into a saddlebag or fanny pack. Trail descriptions are organized into West, North, South and East sections, and various combinations of routes are suggested. Route descriptions begin with the trail route name in bold type and the directions spelled out clearly in language that can be read while riding your horse. Order your copy through Book Passage.
