BAEN "gets around" in ways that never
cease to amaze me. Although our focus is Northern California, our
influence reaches far beyond California's borders. The other day I
received an email from Steven McLaughlin, DVM, MPH, DACVPM, in Atlanta GA who runs a test
preparation service called
The Zuku Review. His site receives over
130,000 visits per month from veterinary students and technicians studying to
pass the national veterinary licensure exams (NAVLE, BCSE and VTNE) and from all
over the world who enjoy learning from the free question of the day. Steve asked
permission to link to our "excellent videos on basic health care in horses" (his
words) when discussing relevant topics, for example
how and where to give
an injection in a question in equine injections. So, not only do BAEN's
2-Minute How To videos help folks here in northern California, they help
teach future equine vets across America and around the world. Cheers!

Good Horse Training
According to Classical Principles... Have You Found It?
Says
Tressa Boulden, "When
a person is looking for a trainer for their horse or themselves they have
entered a vast sea of information that can be confusing.
Good training does not belong to a
secret society; you can find it using the classical guidelines that have been
passed down by master horseman long before us".
Tressa is a Classical Dressage Trainer based in Sonoma County whose focus in
training is to establish strong foundational basics to ensure her students and
their horses a successful, healthy advancement to the higher level work. Read

Here's
a helpful resource: TheHorse.com offers fact sheets on topics of interest to horse owners, such as Arthritis, The Horse's
Digestive System, Navicular Syndrome, Pain Management, and more. Currently there are
over 40 fact sheets, each of which provides a quick reference and overview of a
specific disease, condition, or horse management practice. These fact sheets
are written by a veterinarian and reviewed by another veterinarian or researcher
to ensure that the information provided is up-to-date and accurate, and
presented in a format you can download and save to your own computer, print and
share, or e-mail to a friend. You do have to be logged in as a TheHorse.com
