Feedback "Thank you for having this site available. The people who responded to
my ad were very respectful and considerate. Although several requested a
much lower price than I was asking, the e-mail allowed for both of us to
express ourselves, gave us time to think and work out a transaction. I
was impressed how far reaching BAEN is traveling and the number of
people reading the ad. Thank you again. BAEN made a difficult job,
easier." D.K., Santa Rosa Read more feedback Write to us

ACTHA riders break Guinness world
record for World's Largest Competitive Trail Ride
The
American Competitive Trail Horse
Association announces that the annual "Ride for the Rescues" benefit trail
ride held across the country over the weekend broke a Guinness World Record for
the world's largest trail riding competition. Hundreds of dedicated ACTHA
volunteers, and approximately 1700 riders (many in California) raised almost
$70,000 during this benefit ride, which will be used to benefit horse charities
and rescues nationwide. BAEN's own
Hossmoor in Martinez will host the Bay Area's first-ever ACTHA-approved
Competitive Trail Ride on August 21,

Horse Lovers' 2 Minute How To Video TM
How To
Introduce Your Horse To The Beach
Many
horse owners dream of riding their horses along a sandy beach, and maybe even
taking a dip in the waves. Here in California we're fortunate to have trail
access to some of the most spectacular coastline in the United States. But
taking your horse to the beach for the first time can be dangerous, not only for you but for beach goers as well. Trainer Robyn Spector gives great
advice on how to keep your horse engaged and calm, what to do if your horse
spooks, as well as providing information on how to avoid injuring pedestrians.

How
To Keep Your Horse Cool In Hot Weather
Warm summer weather has finally arrived,
so now's a good time to review these
strategies to prevent heat
stroke In horses and what to do if it happens. And don't forget to
look after yourself too! |
Good As It Gets - I really enjoyed this
poem, sent to us by Sara Malone and reprinted with author Sandy Baker's kind
permission. It is evocative of youth, summer days, horses, and simple
memories. Sandy has put together a book of short stories in verse called
Teendom and other Stark Realities, about being a teenaged girl (or the
mother of one). Sandy no longer
rides, but
Good As It Gets takes her back to
those days, and you can go with her if you like. To contact Sandy, please write to info@bayequest.com and we'll forward
your message.
