Trails Directions & Maps

Our visitors have asked BAEN to create a new feature listing northern California equestrian trailheads
, and we think it's a good idea. These trails listings may include directions, maps, photos, fees, parking and facilities, along with reviews from BAENers.  Do you have trails information you'd like to share on BAEN?  Email your trails information to info@bayequest.com with the word "Trails" in the subject, and we'll say thanks with a free photo ad (maximum value $22.00).

UpFront Business Listings - home page

Recent Upgrades and New Site Features

UpFront Business Listings now receive additional exposure in our Featured Business section. Every time BAEN's home page and Business Directory index page are viewed, a different UpFront business listing displays in the Featured Business section. The Featured Business rotates automatically through all UpFront listings, giving everyone a turn in the spotlight on these very active pages. Read more about UpFront Business Listings. Need assistance upgrading your listing?  Please contact us.

Our Event Calendar discipline menu has been expanded to include 'English/Western' and 'Hunter/Jumper'. We've also added EVENTS to the main link bar at the top and bottom of most pages.

These new features were created in direct response to requests from our advertisers and visitors, so keep those suggestions coming!  Tell us what you need to help your business grow, we'll work hard to make it happen.

Many horses love the taste of peppermint. Try this yummy bran mash recipe to use up leftover candy canes, or get a head start on Valentine's Day with some hard peppermint candies:

Peppermint Bran Mash
Ingredients: 1 cup crushed candy canes or hard peppermint candies; 3 to 5 cups bran; 1 tablespoon salt; 1 carrot, diced; 1 carrot, diced; 1/2 cup molasses; 2 cups sweet feed. Dissolve crushed candy in 2 to 3 cups of boiling water and let water cool to warm. Then, mix all ingredients together except sweet feed in a feed bucket. Add more warm water to make it soupy, rather than crumbly. Cover with towel and let stand until cool. Right before serving, spread a thin layer of sweet feed over the top and sprinkle on some crushed candy to garnish. (
