WELCOME to the 5th issue of BAEN's Newsletter for Members and registered users. As I write this, people are fleeing wildfires burning across California. If you can help house or transport horses/ranch animals evacuated from disaster areas, send your information to info@bayequest.com and we'll post it on both BAEN and SCEN. See more information on BAEN's Emergency Evacuation Resources and Message Boards.
On a lighter subject, we're excited to announce the return of BAEN's Creative Writing Contest, with categories and prizes for both adults and juniors. Please read our Contest Guidelines, then send us your submissions - we look forward to reading them and sharing with others on BAEN!
BAEN Newsletters are now archived on our site for easy access -- Check 'em out!

Nancy
Temple has been riding horses since she was 9 years old and bought her first horse at age 25. About ten years ago, she began to buy and sell used saddles as a hobby. After she bought an extremely wide Haflinger for her daughter, she realized that there was a gap in the market and a huge need for wide saddles - not only for Haflingers, but for many other breeds. Six years ago, she established Duett Deutsche Sattlerei, more commonly known as Duett Wide Saddles. Nancy herself has designed many of the saddles in the line, and they cannot be found elsewhere. BAEN welcomes its newest sales team member: Jane Derow. A horse lover at birth, Jane started riding on the East Coast about the time she learned how to walk and has been deeply involved in the equine world ever since. After graduating from the University of Florida, she headed west and settled permanently in Northern California. Says Jane "Our perfect companions never have fewer than four feet", so she enjoys spending as much time as possible with horse Jasper and dogs Sabrina and Jax.
Jane has over 20 years' experience in sales and advertising, helping local, national and international clients develop and execute successful marketing/advertising strategies. She joins long-time sales manager Kim Cipro in developing ad strategies that lead to continuing sales for BAEN customers. Please contact Jane Derow jderow@bayequest.com, (530) 885-5542, and Kim Cipro adsales@bayequest.com, (707) 987-3776.
