Arthur Balizan, Special Agent in Charge, FBI, will address members at the Membership luncheon in January
Arthur Balizan is special agent in charge (SAC) of the FBI's Portland Division.
| | Arthur Balizan | Mr. Balizan entered on duty as an FBI special agent in 1981. Upon completion of training at the FBI Academy in Francisco, Virginia, he was assigned to the San Francisco Division, where he worked general criminal and drug matters. In 1983, he was transferred to the San Juan Division where he investigated terrorism matters.
In 2002, Mr. Balizan was named assistant special agent in charge (ASAC) of the San Francisco Division, assigned to the San Jose Resident Agency. For more than three years, Balizan had oversight responsibility for the division's cyber and civil rights programs, the Silicon Valley Regional Computer Forensics Lab, and all criminal and terrorism investigations in the San Jose Resident Agency territory.
Mr. Balizan received his Bachelor's degree in Political Science from New Mexico State University in New Mexico in 1976. He has more than 31 years of experience in law enforcement, including four years as a police officer in Northern California and more than 27 years as an FBI agent. He is a native of New Mexico and has three adult children.
