2011 HMC Scholarship application is now available!
General Requirements:
- Applicant must be of Hispanic ancestry, residing in Oregon or Clark County, Washington
- Applicant must have at least a 3.0 GPA as evidenced by a certified high school or college transcript
- Applicant must be enrolled by September 2011 in an accredited Community College, 4-year University or an accredited Graduate Degree Program
Applicants will be evaluated based on their academic achievements, extracurricular activities in the community and written essays.
How to Apply:
Applicant must submit a completed application with all the required attachments (official transcripts, references, community service, work experience and essays).

Financial Aid Workshop
Planning for college?
Join the Hispanic Chamber and NELA� for a bilingual financial aid workshop on Saturday, January 8, 2011
The workshop will help students and parents prepare for and fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). It will also dedicate some time for students who are interested in applying for the HMC Scholarship. Please see location details below:

Path to Scholarships� Workshop
At this workshop, students will:
- Learn that with desire and hard work, anyone can go to college
- Set goals for their furture
- Create a portfolio to prepare for college and scholarship applications
- Learn a method for writing winning essays and complete a first draft
- Start to research scholarship opportunities and websites
Parents are encouraged to attend!
