Attorney General, John Kroger, will address January Membership Luncheon  Attorney General, John Kroger will kick-off the New Year by addressing our members and community partners at the Membership Luncheon in January. John Kroger was elected in November 2008 after winning the nominations of both the Democratic and Republican parties. As a federal criminal prosecutor, Kroger won major cases against mafia killers, drug kingpins and corrupt government officials. He helped prosecute some Enron executives and served on the emergency response team to the 9/11 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center. Kroger received his bachelor's and master's degrees in philosophy from Yale University and his law degree with honors from Harvard Law School. Prior to his election, he served as a law professor at Portland's Lewis & Clark Law School. For more on the Attorney General, please click here.

The Hispanic Chamber will recognize Román Hernández at the Membership Luncheon in January. Mr. Hernández has devoted a significant amount of time to civic and community involvement. Mr. Hernández is currently National President of the Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA). He was the past President of the Board of Directors for the Hispanic Chamber. Mr. Hernández has also been recognized by business publications and other groups for his commitment to the community and to business development and growth. He was selected as a recipient of the Portland Business Journal's "Forty Under 40" Award that annually recognizes the 40 most accomplished, influential, and civic-minded young executives in Portland. Additionally, Hispanic Business magazine selected him as one of its "Hispanic Business 100 Influentials" in 2009. For his full biography, please click here. |
