2009 HISPANIC HERITAGE CELEBRATION

M�nica Gil is the Senior Vice President of Public Affairs and Government Relations for the Nielsen Company. Prior to joining the Nielsen Company, Ms. Gil served as a senior member of Antonio Villaraigosa's campaign team for Mayor of Los Angeles; press secretary for the Speaker of the California State Assembly, Senior Vice President for Greer, Margolis, Mitchell & Burns, a public policy, advertising and public relations firm; and as the Director of Public Affairs and Community Outreach for the Telemundo stations in Los Angeles Ms. Gil has received numerous awards including the 2009 national "Champion of Diversity" Award by Diversity Business Magazine and she was named one of Los Angeles' "Women Making a Difference" by the Los Angeles Business Journal. She attended the University of California, Berkeley, and received a degree in Political Science. She also attended the University of Southern California and received a Masters degree in Public Policy. |

Jerry Monta�ez-Petty was recently elected the Chair of the Board of Directors. Jerry has served on the Hispanic Chamber board for the past 2 years and is a committee member of the Scholarship Program.
