Emergency Assistance of $28,000

While the total training center construction will cost approximately $150,000 for 10 buildings including eight small children's homes, a school building clinic and cafeteria the immediate need is for the initial construction of two children's homes (one for boys and one for girls) and a cafeteria.  The total cost for the construction of three buildings, well and toilets is $28,000.

Gene 100x100 My associates from HISG just returned from Cambodia where they have been made aware of an urgent need for 72 abandoned and orphaned children that were found in the fields near by the city.  These children are currently being taken care of by 16 volunteers on a temporary facility.  Please see the pictures below and prayerfully consider helping us raise $28,000 to construct a permanent home for these children with safe drinking water and toilet facilities.

The children are ages 8 months to 16 years old, with the majority being under 10 years old.  They are being cared for in temporary grass houses, squatting on borrowed land.  We urgently need to re-locate the children.

The water source is a stagnant pond which is used for drinking, cooking, bathing and washing clothes.  Their food is vegetables supplemented by little fish caught in the same pond.  It is essential to build a new center immediately to get the children out of this deplorable condition as quickly as possible.  With this money being raised, can accomplish the initial construction in two months.

The children will attend government school half of the day and education will be supplemented by teachers (both Cambodian and foreign) at the
new center.  The new property is only 500 yards from a government school, so easily accessible to our children as well.  In the long term we will be working to help improve the quality of government education as well.

Thank you for your financial contribution towards these children.
