Times of Uncertainty by Eugene Strite
|
It is clear we are living in a time of uncertainty. People are paralyzed by fear and do not know what to do. There is anxiety about the direction of the economy and where it will end up. Just last month almost 600,000 people in the USA were laid off from their jobs, resulting in the highest unemployment rate since 1974. Many of the industries are at a standstill wondering what this stimulus package is going to do for them. Instead of moving ahead fearlessly like they did when they started their business; many have now come to a place of dependency upon the government before taking the next move. There is a prevailing attitude of "what's in it for me?" People are standing on the side lines afraid to make their move because of the insecurity of banks, interest rates, homes dropping in price and much more.
As people might believe that a stimulus package is the solution, my concern is that in order to compensate, prices will increase leaving us in the same position we began in. Greed and fear are the underlying currents of our present economic system. The evidence of satan's power in the economic base of the world is becoming more visible. If you can break his power over finances, especially over your life, you break him. Remember, Christ defeated satan when He declared "it is finished" (John 19:30) One of the ways to break his power is to get out of debt. Another way is by giving. Rick Joyner recently told me that the greatest investment at this time is giving into the kingdom of God. Ps 37:34, "Wait patiently [expectantly] on the Lord and keep his ways and He shall exalt you to inherit the land; when the wicked are cut off you shall see it." AMP The verse above indicates that if you will allow the Lord to direct you with an expectancy and faith, no matter what your circumstances are, He will direct you in receiving your breakthrough. Many of the tests that we go through come from the Father to show us how far off track we are. We must depend on God for our provision and supply. When Jesus taught His disciples how to pray He said to ask for our daily bread (Matt 6:11). With that kind of dependency on God, life is a daily test of our faith and reliance on Him. There were times when the disciples came to Jesus with questions and He gave them answers they did not expect. When they ask how to pay their taxes he told them to go fishing. Many of His answers were out of the box but it helped them to understand how to mature in this new kingdom Jesus was exposing them to. We all are a work in progress and God has a plan and purpose for each of us individually. So we may all be asking the same question but getting different answers. That's kingdom!!
I really believe that if we can trust Him, He will always provide bread for His children. The scriptures say that those who put their hope and trust in the Lord will never be put to shame (Ps 71.1). Now that hope must be in the Lord and whatever He says. It cannot be trusting in your own words or thoughts but what He reveals to you out of that quiet time spent with Him. In 2 Chron 20:20 the word declares, "Believe in the Lord your God and you shall be established; believe and remain steadfast to His prophets and you shall prosper (AMP). Many of us have prophetic words that were spoken over our lives that we have not prayed or warred over as Paul admonished Timothy to do (1 Tim 1:18).
It's the Lord that exalts us and gives us the land or our garden, the place of delight. He is the one who humbles our enemies and gives us promotions. He is the one who opens the doors in our lives and bestows favor on situations to turn things around for our good. These times of uncertainty are getting us ready for God's next move in the earth.

An Unstable Economy, part 2 by Daniel Daves
|
Most of the wealth that we're seeing disappear during this correctional
season is really just hot air. It's not really and honestly true
wealth. Since it was created from thin air, then to thin air it
returns. Now I wouldn't tell you that we can't do business with the world. To
the contrary, we need to be doing business with them and inheriting
their wealth. But we do business differently than they do, and that's
why God can bless us because we can pass His accounting audit. Rev 18:4-5 "Then I heard another voice from heaven say: "Come out
of her, my people, so that you will not share in her sins, so that you
will not receive any of her plagues; for her sins are piled up to
heaven, and God has remembered her crimes." NIV
These are a few things that I recommend that every believer do to inherit God's miraculous economy:
1. Get out of debt now. Don't delay. Do not be entangled with the world's system of debt which uses you as a retail customer to deliver wholesale goods to you and make you a slave to their profit making designs. Turn the tables on the system, only buy what you have real money to buy, and begin to buy wholesale and sell retail in everything you do.
2. Use your businesses, rental properties and your jobs to serve people in the spirit of humility. Just as Christ came to serve, we must also serve our fellow man, customer and boss. We are here to serve, not to be served. This will bring the favor of God and man on you faster than you can imagine! (Mat 23:11 - 12 NIV) The greatest among you will be your servant. For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted. (Mat 22:37 - 39 NIV) Jesus replied: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'
3. Make preparations and have a plan in place in case the world's economy gets worse before it gets better. Don't be led by fear or panic. That's what will cause the world to hand over their wealth to believers in the evil day. Be led by faith, peace and a Godly plan. Prepare seed as quickly as possible because there's coming a day that we're going to be able to sow a seed into deep, rich and fruitful soil, and reap 100 fold that very year (Gen. 26:12).
4. Protect what you have against any of the world's judgment. Insure your assets. We have insurance for auto, home, health and life, but why not insure your assets too? This means that while we currently use U.S. dollars as a means of exchange, consider insuring your dollars to protect what you have against a dollar collapse. Some use silver or gold to protect against a failing dollar. If you have stocks and your market portfolio is in deep red this year, consider learning how to place protective put options on your account as a simple insurance policy to protect your stock accounts from any further loss in case the market does go down further. Your broker should be able to help you figure that insurance policy cost. It's cheap.
5. Get educated immediately on the world's markets and what is happening in the global economy. Ask the Holy Spirit to teach you His opinion of where the world stands, and get under a good apostolic ministry that can teach you accuracy in the Word for these times. This is not a day to be a sloppy Christian with sloppy beliefs that don't line up with God's Holy Word.
6. Use this period of time to reap a spiritual harvest of souls into the Kingdom of God. This is the season where people are hurting, in fear and restless. These are the days that they are willing to listen to the good news of the gospel. If we speak correctly, in love and in season, we will see our churches begin to fill with new lambs that will become world changers for our Master! I want to remind you that the day of the Lord is both great and dreadful.
Joel 2:11 "The day of the LORD is great; it is dreadful. It's dreadful for the old adamic nature, and for man's corrupted ways, because God always comes to clean house and remove wickedness. It's his method of operation (M.O.) and always will be. But it's a "GREAT" day for the people of God who live by His promises. It's a day of re-alignment, re-evaluation, re-newal, re-storation, and re-ckoning. God is opening the books of the world and has called for an audit (reckoning) of their system. Will this current system pass through His refining fire?" NIV
Mal 3:2 - 6, "But who can endure the day of his coming? Who can stand when he appears? For he will be like a refiner's fire or a launderer's soap. He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver; he will purify the Levites and refine them like gold and silver. Then the LORD will have men who will bring offerings in righteousness, and the offerings of Judah and Jerusalem will be acceptable to the LORD, as in days gone by, as in former years. "So I will come near to you for judgment. I will be quick to testify against sorcerers, adulterers and perjurers, against those who defraud laborers of their wages, who oppress the widows and the fatherless, and deprive aliens of justice, but do not fear me," says the LORD Almighty. "I the LORD do not change. So you, O descendants of Jacob, are not destroyed." NIV
