MAUI'S NEWEST INSTRUCTORS

PADI Instructor Grads 2012If Congratulations go out to Maui's newest dive instructors.  The PADI examiner was overheard saying this was the best group he'd ever tested - wow! Looks like you've got the cream of the crop ready to teach you right here on Maui!

THE MAUI DIAMOND II
Diving Princesses
"I feel pretty!"
The photo above is from the Maui Diamond's second annual Princess Charter (held earlier this month)! Though we go to Molokini several days a week, we also offer several specialty trips each month and are always game for special charters.  Right now every charter doubles as a whale watch and the whales love the Maui Diamond II, so make sure you book your trip soon!

CAN A WHALE BE BYCATCH?!
Earlier this month, divers aboard a Maui Diamond II charter experienced something out of the ordinary when they came upon an entangled humpback whale.  It was early in the trip when Captain Don spotted what he thought was a competition pod.  As the whales drifted closer, it became apparent that two whales were indeed jumping and tail slapping another whale and that's when the passengers saw the lines and buoys trailing behind... PHILIPPINE WHALE SHARK SAFARI 2013

At this time next year, you could be on a dream trip in the Philippines with us!

Philippines Whale Shark

We've got another two week extravaganza in the works for February 17 - March 3, 2013.

The first week will include seven nights at Atlantis Puerto Galera (where we saw a blue ringed octopus in 2011!).

The second week will be spent aboard the Azores Liveaboard in Southern Leyte.  This charter is known as the Whale Shark itinerary and we've booked these dates because they're right in the middle of the whale shark season!

We'll be sharing more details in upcoming newsletters, and for the full scoop, you can visit our travel page.  Ready to book right now?  Then click here!

Space is limited, so get your deposits in!

WIN OUR PADI eCARD CONTEST
Get your PADI eCard
What's the one thing divers are always forgetting?  Yes, you know it's your c-card!  We're always hearing about how you left it at home, the dog ate it, and so on.  Well, the one thing most divers don't leave at home is their cell phone and now your cell phone can be your c-card too!

The first step is to download the free PADI app and then you can purchase an eCard that you'll always have with you.  They cost $37, but if you purchase one from us by the end of February, you can get one for only $25, so what are you waiting for?

Want a FREE eCard?  Well, we're having a contest on our Facebook page.  Post a photo of your open water card to our wall by Friday, Feb. 24th. The oldest and newest cert date will each get a free PADI eCard. If you don't win, you can still get one from us for $25!
WHO'S YOUR NEXT DIVE BUDDY?

Maui No Ka Oi Magazine

Do you have a friend or family member you've been dying to "turn into" your next dive buddy?  Well, we recommend that you share this article from the Jan-Feb issue of Maui No Ka Oi magazine with them.

It was our pleasure to take writer Teya Penniman on her first ever scuba dives and thank goodness she loved it (how could she not?!) because it was then just as much fun to read her account and get to see things through the eyes of a new diver!  Remind your friends and family that they can try scuba - no experience necessary!
