Check out this really great article that Maui No Ka Oi magazine wrote on Maui Dreams!
April Pau Hana

It's always a good day to celebrate pau hana, but we do a get together once a month to do that with our diving friends!

We hope to see you all at Keawakapu Beach on April 2 from 5:30-7:30pm!

Just a reminder to our local night divers.  Ulua Beach is officially closed at 8:00PM.  We've been told that divers in the parking lot after that hour have been finding $35 tickets on their cars.  This becomes even more of an issue as it stays light out longer and longer each day, making the possibility of doing a night dive there shorter and shorter.
There is a SeaCure Mouthpiece Recall that affects the following regulators:
  • Sport I and Atomic regulators manufactured in 2005 and thereafter (orifice measures 1-7/16 x 13/16)
  • Sport II / Professional Sport and Cressi-sub Ellipse regulators
  • Sport II and Zeagle regulators
For more details, please see the SeaCure flyer.

Yes, we're doing it again, so grab your dive bunny, uh BUDDY, and head on down to Keawakapu Beach the day before Easter.  As always, we'll have lots of divers, lots of eggs, and lots of prizes for participants.  Mostly, we'll have lots of FUN!

So here's the scoop:

Where:  Keawakapu Beach, where South Kihei Road ends
When:  April 3, 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM, but get there early for parking and to set your gear up.
What Else:  The shop will be closed from 8:00-10:00AM on April 3rd so that we can all staff the event.

Want to know what's going on at MDDC?  Well you know these days there are always a zillion ways to get information - Facebook, newsletters, our website, and of course visiting us in the shop

There's always a LOT going on around here, and the quickest way to learn about, say, April's Digital Underwater Photography special is to visit the "upcoming events" section of our website

Go there now to learn how to save $50 when taking this course during the month of April, but hurry - this offer is only good for the first six divers who sign up!
And just why wouldn't you put those initials after your name??!

You divers have been busy in 2010, earning Master Scuba Diver certifications every time we blow a bubble!

So far in 2010, it has been our pleasure to congratulate Sam Tuft, Dean and Diane Baker, and Donnie Lutrick to these illustrious ranks!  They have each logged at least 50 dives, and have completed a wide variety of dives and specialty certifications, including Nitrox, boat, scooooooter, peak performance buoyancy, night, and more!  Next stop, Divemaster!

Does your BCD look like this?  If so, it's time for some new equipment!

We just wanted to remind you that we have an AWESOME equipment package deal right now that includes a weight-integrated BCD, a regulator, alternate air source, and a dive computer, all for $899!!

This is an excellent package and we must say we're rather pleased with ourselves for offering it, so come on in and check it out!
And speaking of equipment, the Zuma BCDs have been flying out of the store;  remember, this is the 4.4lb beauty that you could literally tuck under your arm and board the plane with!  If you don't know what we're talking about, read Katherine's blog entry here!
