Religious Liberty & Church-State Separation A Workshop with J. Brent Walker of the BJC
Northside Drive Baptist Church Hosts Workshop on Separation of Church and State.
Northside Drive Baptist Church will host a weekend workshop with J. Brent Walker, Executive Director of the Baptist Joint Committee (BJC) for Religious Liberty. The workshop will focus on religious liberty and issues surrounding church-state separation. The cost is $5 per person for the lunch on Saturday payable to the church office with BJC in the memo line. Saturday (3/10), 11:30 AM-1:30 PM
Luncheon followed by an educational presentation by Brent Walker. The luncheon will focus on First Amendment legal issues and will be directed to attorneys or others who work closely with the law or politics. Including lunch, It should last approximately two hours. A light lunch will be provided for $5. Dress is casual.
Saturday (3/10), evening 5-7 PM
Gathering at the home of Hal and Jo Meeks. Hors d'oeuvres will be provided, and Brent Walker will provide a short presentation. Dress is casual.
Sunday (3/11) Church School and Worship
Brent Walker will be presenting in an open Church School class. Then, Brent will preach in worship.

The Atlanta Beltline
March 13, from 11 AM-1 PM
in the Fellowship Hall
This $2.8 billion redevelopment project will shape the way Atlanta grows throughout the next several decades. The project provides a network of public parks, multi-use trails and transit along a historic 22-mile railroad corridor circling downtown and connecting 45 neighborhoods directly to each other.
The presentation will begin at 11 AM, with the lunch served at Noon. |
The Breath of God
A book review of The Breath of God: A Novel of Suspense by Jeffrey Small will be Wednesday, March 14, at 1 PM in the Fellowship Hall. Mary Ann Hickman will be the facilitator and Jane Fitzgerald the hostess. Bring your lunch; dessert and beverages will be furnished. |

Donate Easter Eggs for the Easter Egg Hunt
The children of the church and in the community eagerly anticipate the Easter Egg Hunt every year. Please donate 1-2 dozen stuffed plastic eggs to be used for the event. You may drop off the eggs at the church office during the week or in the Children's Sunday School room every Sunday until Easter. |

 Young adult Unplugged evenings. These are casual dinners at our homes where Mike will bring the main course and everyone else brings a side item. They are on Friday nights once a month at 7 PM.

Come join us on the 3rd Wednesday of each month beginning October 19, at 7 PM, in the church Parlor to knit or crochet a prayer shawl. If you are not sure how, no problem, there will be plenty of people to help you get started. This group is open to anyone who would like to join! Encore! is a once a month youth event on either Sunday afternoon or Sunday evening. We focus this time on fellowship, discussion, and/or mission service.

The young adult small group will be reading and discussing The Last Week by Marcus Borg and Dominic Crossan. We meet once a month at 6:30 PM and then go off campus for dinner together. The small group meets in the Undercroft.

The youth café, UNDERGROUNDS, will be open for a light breakfast at 9:30 AM each Sunday. Youth Church School will meet in the newly renovated youth space and will begin at 9:45 AM. |
