Deacon Spotlight
Gail Hermance and her husband, Jim met and married in Washington, DC and immediately moved to Atlanta where they fell in love with the warm and caring congregation of Northside drive and joined 32 years ago. Over the years, Gail has enjoyed singing in the choir, working in many capacities with the children and youth programs and various other committees. She is currently serving on the Hospitality Committee, the Care Committee, the Diaconate and ushers.
Gail lives in Sandy Springs and has 2 children, Nathan, who is 26 and works in Atlanta and Michael, who is currently a student at the University of Georgia. Hailing from Maryland, Gail spent many hours while growing up enjoying the sport of "crabbing" in the Chesapeake Bay. Ask her the many ways this can be done. She now enjoys reading, knitting, painting, being outdoors and spending time with friends and family. Currently taking a sabbatical for health reasons, Gail's past includes being a travel agent with American Express and teaching pre-kindergarten for 17 years.
Her deacon families are:Claire Blackwell Dee Nancy de Jonge Davis Ken & Nancy F. Davis Ray Griner Raymond & Bernice Jones David Lester Molly Lester William Lester Jim & Carolyn Mahaffey Mike McIntyre Barney & Angie Moore Harry & Vanita Morgan Jerry & Jackie Poole Larry & Sandra Prince |
