NORTHSIDE NOTES - October 20, 2010 |
Deacon Spotlight
(Every week, for 15 weeks, the Wednesday Northside Notes will spotlight a deacon, along with the deacon's Family Ministry List.)
Lora Hawk has been a member since July 16, 2006, but has visited since 2004, when she found Northside Drive on her way to work at the time. She moved her letter from Harmony Baptist Church in Monroe, Ga. Lora has been active in the TNT group, NDBC @20.30s, and has enjoyed serving on a number of committees. She is originally from Social Circle, Ga where she grew up on a farm (soy beans and cotton, for folks who want to know). She moved to theAtlanta area when she began her undergraduate work at Agnes Scott College and has lived and worked around the area for the last decade. Lora owns her own political consulting company and provides campaign consulting, grassroots coalition building, and lobbying services here on the state and local government level. She lives in Midtown with her cat, Mr. Fitzgerald, who has regular featured updates on her Facebook page (there's never a dull moment with him). Most people are unaware that Lora's second language is French.
Her Deacon Families are:
Bil & Lindsay Cadaret
Gigi Collins
Bedford & Louise Davis
Bruce & Sylvia Dick

JB & Virginia Gilbert
