 MARCH MISSION MADNESS
Food and Clothing Drive The Youth will be attending MMM March 20-22. As part of the mission weekend, we are collecting food and clothing items to be donated to the Coweta Community Food Pantry & Clothes Closet. There is a box in Narthex for donations or you may contact one of the Youth to collect any donations you may have. Please have all donations to the church by March 18, so that we are able to pack them for our travels. All items are accepted. Specific requests include toiletry items of all sorts. Food items such as canned and box goods are needed as well. Thanks you for your contributions in advance! |
EASTER LILIES
Each year we look forward to Easter's awakening. Our chancel will be decorated with white lilies on April 12, Easter Sunday. Your donation toward a lily is a wonderful gift in memory of or in thankfulness for someone special and to the Glory of God. Please print out your message and include it with a check (made payable to NDBC) for $20. Send both to Carolyn Scott in the church office, or place them in an offering envelope from the pew rack and place it in the offering plate. Phone orders can be paid for in person or by mail. The deadline for orders is Sunday, April 5, 2009.

Looking to enhance your yoga practice? Northside Yoga meets twice a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays, at 6 PM in the Fellowship Hall. Join registered Yoga Teacher, Amanda Gregg, on Tuesdays and certified Iyengar Yoga Instructor, Mark Bodnar, on Thursdays for dynamic and centering classes. Bring a mat, water, and the $10 fee. DR. STEVE GRAHAM
Dr. Graham is the Director of Ministerial Excellence for the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. In this position, he stays in touch with the CBF's 71 peer learning groups, which provide ministers with opportunities for worship, study, discussion and fellowship. Before working with the CBF he served as the pastor of Second Baptist Church in Liberty, Mo., for seven years.
A native of Oklahoma, Graham earned a bachelor degree from Oklahoma Baptist University, a master of divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and a doctor of ministry from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Atlanta Hunger Walk
Sunday, March 22
This will be a make-up Hunger Walk, since the event was cancelled due to the weather last week. We will have a picnic lunch that day after worship service-the MMM crew will be returning shortly after worship. We also will have Hunger Walk t-shirts available. The picnic and walk will be at the Chattahoochee Park, just down from NDBC. Please RSVP to Eric Cain at eric@northsidedrive.org by March 18, so that we can have appropriate lunch and transportation arrangements. The event should conclude by 3 PM.
The youth café, UNDERGROUNDS, will be open for a light breakfast at 9:30 AM each Sunday. Church School in the newly renovated youth space begins at 9:45 AM.
