Detailed Data Provides Accurate Basis for Computing Actual Call Capacity of
IP-PBX
We have just published load test results for two of our Asterisk-based
IP-PBX telephony systems, the XR1000 for Small Office / Home Office (SOHO) and the XR2000 for Small and Medium Enterprises (SME). These results provide factual
evidence of the capacity of each IP-PBX to handle telephony traffic with
various codecs and echo cancellation tail sizes. The results are available as downloadable PDF
files from the Xorcom Web site: Results for XR1000 and Results for XR2000.

FAX AND MODEM APPLICATION NOTE UPDATED

Specific Synchronization Behavior for FXO, FXS, BRI and PRI Ports Provided Since Asterisk's early days, reliable fax and modem support was a
challenging issue. The technical problem is due to the different clock sources
of the Asterisk PC and different Zaptel devices. In
order to eliminate this problem, clocks in all Zaptel devices must be
synchronized. Xorcom's XPP™ Technology solves this problem; all Xorcom
devices are designed with a Phase Locked Loop (PLL), an
electronic circuit that receives a reference clock from another Zaptel device, and compares it to
its own local clock, launching a synchronization procedure if necessary. For
details about the solution, including a behavior and synchronization guide in
table format for FXS, FXO, BRI and PRI ports, read the full article on our Web site. |
