Greetings!
On Tuesday, March 27th, 2012, the inaugural TEDxHarlem event will be held at the world famous Apollo Theater in Harlem, NYC. WE ACT's Executive Director Peggy Shepard will be joining a group of other activists as a speaker at this new and exciting conference, which will run from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
Attendees can expect a day-long event that seeks to understand, celebrate and empower the informal methods of social innovation that grow organically in Harlem and throughout communities around the world.
The conference day will be broken out into several movements designed to explore the newest ideas in innovation and expose attendees to concepts and dialogue that are exciting, engaging and inspirational. Peggy's talk will fall into the "Innovation and Triumph: How We Did It" movement.
The event is open to the public and tickets can be purchased for $100 on Ticketmaster.
If you are unable to attend TEDxHarlem in person, we encourage you to watch the webcast on March 27, 2012 at www.livestream.com/tedxharlem.
