Nurturing Dads: A Conversation With Fatherhood Expert Kevin Roy

The Father's Day ads currently streaming on your TV and cluttering your internet browser likely celebrate live-in, biological dads.

William Marsiglio and Kevin Roy's new book, Nurturing Dads, goes beyond the images of power-tool-toting images of papas and explores ways to encourage meaningful engagement between many different kinds of fathers and their kids.

Center Director Julie Drizin spoke with Kevin Roy, author and associate professor of family science at the University of Maryland, about fatherhood and social policy. You can read their conversation here.
