Volunteers Needed For November
|
One election down - one to go! The Michigan Republican Party and Romney for President campaign are currently putting together an Election Day Operations (EDO) program for November. This program is designed to work as one unified effort for all Republicans on Election Day. Our goal is to work hand in hand with County parties, Tea Party groups and other conservatives clubs in order to ensure a fair election process throughout the state. Besides volunteering yourself, please ask friends, family members, and colleagues to be a part of our team on Election Day. Anyone interested in volunteering can e-mail Gary Koutsoubos, EDO Coordinator, Michigan Republican Party. We are planning to begin training attorneys and poll challengers at Victory Centers throughout Michigan beginning in late August. You will need to attend at least one training session before November 6th. We will send out the dates of additional training sessions as they become available, but here is the current list.

What About the Supreme Court?
|
Columnist Andrew McCarthy provided this view on what may be the most important question of the upcoming presidential election: what about the Supreme Court? Note that: - Justice Scalia just turned 78,
- Justice Kennedy will turn 78 later this year,
- Justice Breyer will be 76 in August,
- Justice Ginsburg turned 81 about a week ago.
Of course we wish them well, but the fact is that whomever we elect as president in November is almost certainly going to choose at least one and maybe more new members of the Supreme Court. They will also choose hundreds of other life-tenured federal judges, all of whom will be making momentous decisions about our lives for decades to come. So for anybody who is thinking of not voting just because your favorite didn't get nominated, imagine this: SUPREME COURT JUSTICE ERIC HOLDER!
