Neil Hammerbacher For County Treasurer

Neil Hammerbacher, currently an accountant for Kochville Township, is running for County Treasurer as a Republican. Neil brings solid relevant experience to the post, having served as Kochville Township Treasurer for 10 years, and with the City of Clare as Auditor and then Treasurer and Finance Director for 6 years.
Neil has plans to improve the efficiency of the Treasurer's office and County government in general, such as pooling local governments' investments for better return. He is a member of the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants.

 Team Hoekstra has announced the latest stops on Pete's Solutions Tour, with one here in Saginaw! These events are a great way to network with other grassroots activists who share Pete's vision for real solutions for Michigan and America.
Pete's Saginaw Grassroots Fundraiser comes as he makes his final push toward the August 7th Primary. It will be on Tuesday, July 31st at the Willow Tree Restaurant, 4751 Fashion Square Mall, Saginaw. Gary Glenn Suspends US Senate Race

 Late Thursday night, Gary Glenn suspended his campaign and announced that he is supporting Clark Durant in the August 7 primary. Gary noted that despite strong backing from numerous tea party groups around the state, he had not reached enough people to be successful in the primary. In placing his support behind Clark Durant to defeat incumbent Debbie Stabenow, Gary noted, "The same sense of duty that got me into this race requires me to get out of it and support the person I think is best prepared to beat her. There's no doubt in my mind that person is Clark Durant." |
Saginaw County Republican Women's Picnic

The Saginaw County Republican Women's Meet the GOP Candidates' Picnic will be held Thursday, August 23rd, 6:00-9:00pm. The event will be at 4520 Midland Rd, Saginaw (M-47, ½ mile South of Tittabawassee Rd).
They have received positive responses from many Supreme Court Candidates and University and Michigan Board of Education Candidates as well as our local guys, so it will be an interesting evening. Invited candidates include State, County and local Republican candidates, current Republican officeholders and selected non-partisan candidates on the November 6th Ballot.
