Tuesday, March 6th we'll be watching the returns for super Tuesday at Headquarters, 3071 Bay Rd, Saginaw. We'll start about 7:00pm; bring snacks and a beverage.  Also, Lincoln Day turned out very nice.  Mrs. Romney was a plus, everyone enjoyed meeting her. Thanks to ALL who helped make the day possible.

Also, there will be a meeting of the Saginaw County Republican Executive Committee on Wednesday March 14th at 7:00pm. This will also be at the new headquarters.
 
State House 94th District Race Rarin' To Go
Now that Michigan's presidential primary is over, we can turn some attention to the next primary here.  On August 7th, Michigan Republicans will hold a primary for state and local seats.  One which already has several candidates vying for votes is the State 94th House District.

This district covers the following townships, villages and cities: Tittabawassee, Thomas, Saginaw, Swan Creek, St. Charles, Village of St. Charles, Albee, Taymouth, Birch Run, Village of Birch Run, Frankenmuth, City of Frankenmuth, and Blumfield.  Three candidates have announced: Ann Doyle, Tim Kelly, and Ryan McReynolds.  You can find out more about them at their websites.

State House 51st District Remains Republican

Yes!  After the recall of Paul Scott, orchestrated by Genesee County Democrats, Joe Graves fought a hard campaign and retained the seat for us!  Congratulations to Joe and Denise and all the volunteers for their hard work in Genesee County!

 

Changes to Saginaw State House Districts   

Congressman Paul Ryan In Southfield
Congressman Paul RyanSorry the notice is late, but we often get these things last minute.  Congressman Paul Ryan (Republican, Wisconsin), chairman of the House Budget Committee, will be in southeast Michigan to stump for Pete Hoekstra for Senate on March 5th.  Representative Ryan's budget plan, The Path to Prosperity, was the basis for the GOP-led House budget plan last year. He has been a crucial leader for the recent GOP charge in Washington, working on reforming the national budget and cutting entitlement programs.

The event is at the Westin Hotel in Southfield and is a fund raising luncheon, with tickets at $250 per person.  For more information or reservations, e-mail Lauren Gervason at lauren@hoekstraforsenate.com.

Rally At The US Supreme Court
repeal obamacare
Americans for Prosperity and many other groups will be at the steps of the Supreme Court on March 27 to make Americans' feelings known for the Obamacare hearing. This is the day the Supreme Court is scheduled to hear arguments about the constitutionality of the Affordable Care Act (also known as Obamacare)

The event is scheduled for 1:00pm.  There is  Michigan bus to the event, with tickets at $20 each.  More information on the rally is at Americans For Prosperity.
