Federal Government Working Hard to NOT Enforce Federal Laws
|
You may have heard on the news last week that the Obama Justice Department's lawsuit
against the State of Arizona has TEMPORARILY stopped portions of its tough new
illegal immigration enforcement law from taking effect. Judicial Watch is representing Arizona State Senator Russell Pearce,
the author of Arizona's law, and they are gearing up for what promises to be a
legal battle of epic proportions. It has now come down to a fight between those who want to
enforce federal immigration laws and those who do not. The Obama White House wants to kill this law because it doesn't want to bear
its constitutional responsibility to secure the border and enforce our nation's
immigration laws. The standard used by the judge who granted the TEMPORARY injunction is that enforcing the law MAY make it difficult and expensive for the federal government. By such a ridiculous standard, no law could ever be enforced! If you wish to help
Judicial Watch pursue this expensive battle , visit their website for more information and perhaps a
tax-deductible contribution to Judicial Watch. This is a critical and potentially defining moment in the fight against
illegal immigration. Losing this battleground in Arizona is not an option. and this is just the beginning of a long and critical struggle that is
sure to find its way to the U.S. Supreme Court. Currently, similar laws are being drafted or considered in nearly 20
states, including Michigan. If we expect to have a law that survives the legal challenges, supporting Arizona's law is an important first step. |
