Jim Howell To Run For Circuit Court Judge

Jim Howell will announce his candidacy for the 10th
Judicial Circuit seat being vacated by Judge Bill Crane. The announcement will be on February 8, at the Saginaw Township Hall at 5:00pm. Bill Schuette will follow
with his announcement of candidacy at the same location at 6:00pm. Both
would appreciate supporters to attend this event. I urge you to attend if you
can.
Jim is a former State Representative for a large part of western Saginaw County and served as Chairman of
House Judiciary Committee. He most recently was an Assistant Attorney General with the Michigan Attorney's General
Office. As a
legislator, he authored over 34 laws, many involving the courts. In
2001 he was named Legislator of the year by both the Michigan Probate
Judges Association and the Police Officers Association of Michigan, and
in 2003 he was was named the distinguished alumni for Saginaw Valley State
University.
"As a Vietnam
veteran, police officer, private practice attorney, chairman of the
House Judiciary Committee and Assistant Attorney General, I have devoted
my adult life to service and protecting Michigan's families," Howell
said. "Now I am running for the Saginaw County Circuit Court to bring
this same dedication to the bench."

Mike Cox Campaign Rally

For those of you who have not yet heard, Mike Cox will officially kick off his campaign for Governor by hosting a fun, family-friendly rally. Bring your friends, your family and your
kids to join us and help turn anger into action, frustration into purpose,
and despair into hope. The rally will be inside the Buell Management Building on the campus of Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, Michigan on Saturday, February 5. Doors open at 10:00am, the program begins at 11:00am and it will run until noon. The rally will have food, fun and music and is FREE. Space is limited, so visit http://www.mikecox2010.com or call Robbie Rankey at the campaign office at 734-525-5035 to sign up for tickets. There will also be a free shuttle bus from Flint, if you don't want to drive all the way to Southfield. This shuttle will leave at 9:00am from the west parking lot of the Central Church of The Nazarene on Bristol Rd., between Van Slyke Rd and Fenton Rd in Flint. It will return at approximately 2:00pm. Republican Women's Regional Summit |
Please join the Republican National Committee, the Ohio Republican Party, and women from Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia as they work to celebrate and empower Republican women. These organizations will be hosting a Regional Women's Summit in Columbus, Ohio, on Saturday, February 27, 2010. The Summit will include interactive panels with national opinion leaders, media pundits and influential Republicans as well as hands-on training workshops.
The Summit will be from 9:00am to 5:00pm at the Hyatt on Capitol Square, 75 East State Street,
