Every 16 years, Michigan voters are asked if we should hold a State Constitutional Convention.  The question will be posed on the November, 2010 ballot.  Vicky Gaffney, with Energize Michigan, will speak about Proposal 1 at our meeting Monday night, January 18 at 7:00pm at the Thomas Township Safety Building, 8215 Shields Drive, Saginaw.  For more information about Proposal 1, visit www.energizemichigan.com.

Saginaw County Republican LogoThe Saginaw County Republican Women's Club meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month except where otherwise noted.  They will have their next meeting on
Thursday, January 21 at 11:00am. at Mario's LaBelle Restaurant, 7467 Gratiot Road, Thomas Township.

They are also sponsoring something new this year, a Conservative Issues Forum.  This is an informal public forum to be held on the 3rd Thursday of the months of January, February, April,  June, September, October, and November.  Please join them on January 21 at the home of Sandra Kahn, 4520 Midland Road,  Saginaw.  For more information, call 989-790-0285 or e-mail Sandra at sandrakahn@charter.net.  They look forward to having you join with them!

Mid-Michigan Pro-Life Summit

For those of you interested in the current state of Pro-Life activities, there will be a Mid-Michigan Pro-Life Summit on Saturday, January 30 at the Montrose Community Schools Auditorium, 303 Ray St., Montrose, Michigan.  The event begins at 8:15am and runs all day, to 5:00pm.   Presenters include Michigan Representative Paul Scott, and others.

UM-Flint College Republicans' Prime Rib & Politics Dinner

David Rozanski announces that on Friday, January 29th, the UM-Flint College Republicans will be hosting a dinner with special guests: Senator Mike Bishop, Senator Cameron Brown, Anne Norlander, Representative Paul Scott, Dave Robertson, and Rick Wilson.  The dinner will be from 7:00pm - 9:00pm at the Woodfield Country Club, 10200 Woodfield Dr, Grand Blanc, MI.  Tickets are $30 per seat.  You can make your reservations now at drozansk@umflint.edu or 989-928-2921, and pay at the door!  Come hear all these candidates and enjoy a great dinner.
