Highlights from a Recent Trip to Holy Trinity Institute

Dear Friends and Supporters,
Robin Barton, a Godparent in the Sponsorship Program of Brazil Mission Society, recently traveled this March to Holy Trinity Institute in Moreira, Brazil. Her words speak volumes about the blessing of the work being done at HTI and how vital YOUR prayers and sponsorship mean to this special ministry!
Joining her was her sister and brother-in-law Dawn and Doug Seeley who also wanted to volunteer. Now, the Seeley's have become Sponsors as well to a child at the Orphanage - and we are delighted to share some of their photos and memories of their trip.
The large photo at the top was taken after lunch. In this photo are Pastor Tealmo, his wife, and his daughter who together run the Orphanage. What a blessing they are from God!
The second photo includes Professor Marcia (back left); Robin (front left); Happy First Graders; Doug and Dawn (right). Each child got a name tag saying that they are a Child of God. Doug took their pictures, developed them, and gave it to the children to decorate in their frames. What a blessing modern technology is for mission trips like this -- instant access to photos and printers - children all over the world LOVE having their picture taken!
This is a woman named Lena. She lives in the Senior's home at Holy Trinity. Did you know that there is a wing specially designated for Senior's at HTI? Here, Robin spends time visiting and coloring a picture with Lena. Something so simple - yet so profound - just spending time loving one another in the Name of Jesus!
The rest of the photos are of some of the children at HTI. They look happy and well loved!
Robin shares the following from her recent trip:
"My two god-sons are now 24 years old! If not for God's intervention in sending them to Holy Trinity when they were so young, heaven only knows where they would be now. Today they are both High School graduates and have responsible jobs and love the Lord! This photo shows me with Renato and Marcio the night we went out for pizza for their Birthdays!"
"Saulo, a Brazilian Teen, has been at HTI for three years and God is preparing him to start at the Seminary at the end of this year. Through his time at the orphanage, Saulo has watched two dedicated pastors model Chirst. Pastor Tealmo and Pastor Jair have mentored him!"
"We spent time coloring with the children, playing 'London Bridges Falling Down', and hearing the children sing during worship services at their chapel. We also spent time getting to know the wonderful staff who take such good care of the children and seniors."
"Holy Trinity Institute needs more financial support. The courts have placed children here at HTI and then do not give any money for their care. Some children have been here for over five years and still no funds have been given to the Institute. That is why the sponsorship program is so important. Thank You, God for all the people who support this work with their prayers and donations."
"We loved our time spent at HTI. I am so happy that now Doug and Dawn are sponsoring their own god-son here at the Orphanage. We are thankful that God allowed us to have this wonderful missional opportunity." - Robin Barton
