Children Living Near the Dump
|
These are photos "Before" The Abrasse Day Care came to be. These children and many others, live near the city dump. They collect garbage, sort it, sell it, and protect it from being stolen. Often, their parents spend the day collecting garbage while the children are left on their own on the streets.
That is how the idea for The "Abrasse" Day Care center came to be. A young pastor had a dream to build a safe place for these children to spend the day, a place for a good meal, and a place for them to learn about Jesus.

We are thrilled to announce that Abrasse is complete, children attend daily, and recently had their first "field trip" to the Library and Park!
The dream of a safe place for these children has come true!

We are so thankful to the Congregations that helped make this dream become reality! If you would like to know more about how you and your congregation can continue to meet the many needs of Abrasse, please contact BMS!
Please remember these children in your prayers, and that Abrasse will continue to provide a haven for these little ones - to experience first-hand how much they are loved and cared for by our wonderful God!
