Dear Friends and Supporters,
In the photo above, Dr. John Messmann, Board Chairman of Brazil Mission Society; and Dr. Bill Thompson, President of BMS visit Pastor Andre Dreher. Pastor Dreher and his wife, Christana are serving in their first congregation at a new mission.
The new ministry is located in the town of Frederico Westphalen, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. A chapel and parsonage have been built. The congregation is striving to share the Gospel with their community. Pastor Dreyer has established an effective radio ministry in the community and surrounding areas.
The congregation has chosen the name "Cristo Redento" like the statue in Rio. They want to be a witness to the community, not only in Brazil, but also in the United States.
Bethel Lutheran Church in Morton, Illinois, has partnered with the Brazilian church to assist in this building project and ministry.
Together God's loving people
can accomplish much for the Kingdom's sake!
