Dear Friends and Supporters,
Much has been happening - because of you!
Here is a wonderful update of the last few months
from Holy Trinity Institute
"I cannot believe how much time has past since the new year! Much has happened here at the Orphanage and we would love to share it all with you, who we consider our "extended family!"
It is a time of harvest. The corn and sugar cane have been harvested, shredded, mixed, and stored in order to feed the cattle during the winter here on our farm. Several people contributed back in December to purchase the seeds that feed the cattle.
Thank You! Much has been happening - because of you! Much of the hard work had to be done manually this year - we had several mechanical problems - the shredder is old and too dangerous to use; the farm trucks and tractors broke down and need repairs in the brakes, clutch systems, differentials, etc. If you would like to help with these areas - please ask! School is in session with 67 students who live at the home, plus 35 more children from the local community. It is a struggle to receive help from the government because we are not considered a public school. This year, it was only possible for our students to continue their education due to the help of many people like you.
Thank You! Much has been happening - because of you! New Children have arrived at HTI. Many new children apply to our home and school each year. Unfortunately we cannot take them all - not due to lack of room - but because we don't have the funds to support them all. This year we have taken 5 new children: Fernando da Silva (9) brother of Sheron and Fernanda who already live here; Jonathan de Almeida (9); Larissa Rangel (10), and two sisters, Kamyla (7), and Katrine (10) da Silva. They all come from different situations but here they are all part of God's family. Many children are here because of being sponsored by Godparents like you! We hope they all feel welcomed and loved here and we pray that God can act through us in their lives.

Just before school started the bulletin board was packed with letters from Godparents like you! What a nice welcome for the children! They know that they are being prayed for by you. They know that you send financial gifts to help them with many of their needs. And most of all, they know that they have a God Who loves them through people far away - like you!
