Two years ago, we claimed the Holy Trinity Institute as our mission emphasis for VBS.  The children contributed $180 that first year and we sent it in. 

Last year, I challenged the children to beat that amount and they came through with a total of $254. 

This year as I was challenging the children to beat last year's amount, the little girl (who was so distraught last year when she forgot her piggy bank on the last day and thought it was too late to contribute-which it wasn't-and was so full of tears) piped up and shouted, "I think we should double it!" 

Well, the adults looked at one another, all thinking, "There are only 75 children here.  We'll never make it!"  I sheepishly accepted her challenge on behalf of the other children and reminded everyone that God can do anything. 

Not only did we double it, we surpassed the doubling!  Enclosed you will find a check for $570 for the needs of the Holy Trinity Institute.  The VBS children would like it to go to food, clothing, or school supplies but if there is a more urgent need, please use your discretion. 

Wouldn't that be awesome if we could double that next year?!
