This month's newsletter highlights a Pastor who has been very involved with Brazil Mission Society for many years. Pastor Ken Mitschke has for some years provided leadership for the formation of a LCMS mission plant congregation at Word of Life Fellowship in Schertz, Texas. At his recent installation (pictured below) the congregation honored Pastor Mitschke officially as their pastor. Rev. Ken Hennings, President of the Texas District LCMS installed Pastor Mitschke. Dr. Bill Thompson, President and Executive Director of Brazil Mission Society also participated in the installation celebration.

Pastor Mitschke and his congregation at Word of Life Fellowship are a beautiful example of how a congregation of any size can make a huge difference in the mission field.Ken and his wife, Patti, traveled to Brazil with other PLI (Pastoral Leadership Institute) colleagues to visit Brazil Mission Society's mission sites that are sponsored through IELB (Lutheran Church of Brazil). Upon their return from Brazil, Word of Life Fellowship adopted Brazil Mission Society as a mission project for their congregation and have faithfully sponsored pastors in Brazil monthly.There are many projects and needs to become involved with in Brazil. Whether you are a "mega-church" or a church plant like Word of Life, BMS has many opportunities for you to make a Big Difference in the lives of people far away. From purchasing school supplies, to traveling to the mission sites in person - there is something everyone can do! We encourage you to pray for ways your congregation can be part of a mission field in God's Kingdom. We would love for you to consider partnering with Brazil Mission Society.
