It is October, the temperatures are dropping, and Thanksgiving and Christmas are just around the corner!  This newsletter will serve as a reminder for you to be thinking about Christmas gifts for your Godchild! Your donation for your Godchild is so very important, because the orphanage does not have funds to buy them gifts.

 

Sending money through Brazil Mission Society is still the most efficient way to give your Godchild Christmas gifts.  We need to receive your donations in our office at BMS no later than November 1st.  This will ensure enough time to get the funds to Brazil so that the staff at the orphanage has enough time to shop for the children. 

 

Simply include an extra amount in your monthly giving and earmark those extra funds as "Christmas Gift."  You can specify on your donation what you would like the staff to purchase or leave the gift up to their discretion. 

 

If you wish to send a gift, it needs to be mailed no later than October 20th.  Even at this date, however, there is no guarantee that the package will arrive in time for Christmas.  Receiving packages in Brazil is always questionable and unfortunately, the Brazilian Post Office goes on strike frequently.  (See instructions at the end of this newsletter for mailing a package.)

 

More sponsors are needed for these children and this wonderful home.  We also need donations for Christmas Gifts for the other children who do not have a BMS sponsor.  Will you help spread the need and share these stories and newsletters with people you know?  You can forward this email newsletter to your friends and family, or you can provide us with names and addresses and we can send them these newsletters via "snail-mail!"
