Pat and I recently returned from a trip to Brazil and we visited with Pastor Tealmo who is the Director at the Holy Trinity Institute.

 

Pastor Tealmo shared with us that they have a very special need. Due to drought and rising prices, the orphanage is being forced to buy feed for the animals.  On a very tight budget they are required to spend an additional $1500.00 per month to keep the operation functioning as it should.  "We need your prayers and some special financial gifts to help us through this difficult time." 

 

We are boldly praying and asking our sponsors to please consider giving a month's of feed cost. If that is out of reach, please give what you can.

 

We also need more sponsors for these children and this wonderful home.  Can you help spread the need and share these stories and newsletters with people you know?  You can forward this email newsletter to your friends and family.  Or you can provide us with names and addresses and we can send them these newsletters via "snail-mail!"

Pastor Tealmo explained, "at the orphanage, the children help work on a real farm.  We have cattle, milking cows, chickens and pigs.  We also have vegetable gardens, an orchard and various crops.  The children each have a duty in the gardens, planting and harvesting the crops and taking care of the animals.  They still milk the cows by hand!  They harvest and can the produce basically like farmers have done for years.  The orphange is sustained by our farming!"
 

"During the hot summer months, we harvested and dried 540 pounds of beans!  They will be an important source of protein for our children during the whole year."

 

"Not only does the farm at the orphanage produce food to feed the children, but it also affords the opportunity for occupational training.  Children learn how to work the land and live off of their results."
