We thank you for being a Godparent for a child at Holy Trinity Institute! You have been such a wonderful blessing to your Godchild through your support and prayers!
"What can I do?"
"How can I make a difference?"
"I only have a little - how can that possibly help?"
"These children are so far away - does my contribution really help them?"
I'm sure we have all asked ourselves questions like these. But look at the picture of the boys trying on their New Work Boots and Hats. Recently, five people in the US came together and donated money to purchase 35 pairs of work boots and hats. Did it make any difference? Yes! Each of the workers and teenagers at the Holy Trinity Institute need the boots and hats in order to comply with the Government Labor Inspectors. Now, because of the boots and hats, they don't have to worry about the Inspectors!
And what is possibly a bigger gift than having the Lord's Word to read and study? During the morning and evening devotions the children are encouraged to read and memorize the Scriptures as they learn values they will keep for eternity. The Institute's Bibles and Hymnals wear out quickly. Members of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Des Peres, MO, and Shepherd of the HIlls Lutheran Church in San Antonio, TX recently provided money for New Bibles to be given to the children. Small donation - Big difference!
