Mission Work in Scharlau, Brazil
scharlau children These children live next to the city dump in Scharlau, Brazil. Their families work at the dump, sorting garbage.  Like many others, they live in poverty.  The Brazil Mission Society (BMS) is helping to fund a mission congregation in their neighborhood and has future plans to build a day care for children who would otherwise be left to the streets.

Worship Services and Bible Studies are conducted each week and
Pastor Edino Krug provides the leadership for this as well as four other similar congregations!  Click here to read more about how the love of Christ is being shared with these people, and how you can help.  Read More

Pastor Tealmo Percheron Visits USA

tealmoPastor Tealmo Percheron, Director of an orphanage in Moreira, Brazil, recently spent three weeks in Michigan and other locations in the Midwest.  He and his daughter, Carina met with American sponsors of many of the children who live at the Holy Trinity Institute, creating awareness of the orphanage's many needs.

"The children at the orphanage are 'pearls' who need polishing and require most of our attention, enery and resources," said Pastor Percheron.  He himself was raised at the institute, left there with his brother and sister by their widowed mother, who had no means of support.  He met his wife, Cecilia at the institute and together they help create a family for today's needy children.

"The institute complex includes a children's home, seniors' home, elementary school, church, farm and mechanical workshop."

"Most of the children and seniors who come to live at the institute have no other place to go.  Many are homeless, while others who have families still have to work in the streets to find money for food."

There are many ways to help the people at Holy Trinity Institute.  Funds are needed to purchase seeds for crops, classroom supplies, uniforms, sports equipment, shoes, and medicine, just to name a few.  There is also a wonderful "Godparent" program  which allows you to sponsor an orphan for as little as $35 per month.
