Please write us at contest@gwrra.org with your name ideas. Make sure you include your name, Member number and telephone number on your contest entry.

Greetings!

We hope you enjoyed our innaugural issue of Wingin' It, GWRRA's e-Newsletter. There seemed to be some very nice comments, as well as those who had some trouble reading it due to the colors. We really appreciate the feedback. So, the colors have been changed to accommodate better readability. Please let us know if you have more suggestions!

This month we will continue to tell you more about our Member benefits, feature another employee here at the Home Office, and remind you of some important items that seem to keep coming up in our Member Services Department.

But before I get going too far, I am very proud to wish GWRRA and Paul and Shirley, a very Happy 32nd Anniversary! On June 4th, GWRRA will begin its 33rd year in business. That is quite an accomplishment for a motorcycle association. We hope that all the Chapters, Officers and Members will take some time that first weekend in June to help celebrate GWRRA's anniversary.

As a former Volunteer of Wing Ding I and Officer of GWRRA, I know how GWRRA has impacted my life. More importantly, GWRRA wants to thank all the Volunteers and Officers who have served the Association all these years. For those who helped start GWRRA back in 1977, from the "Original 7", to all the folks who have served as Officers over these many years, and to all those who have Volunteered in any function and still do, WE THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE!

There is also a new section on the side called, "Did You Know?", which will feature some history questions about GWRRA. We will see how much you know about your Association. The answers will be at the bottom, in the coupon.

We are featuring a great safety item located in our coupon at the bottom of Wingin' It  that I have in both my cars. It will make a great Father's Day gift, so order early!

And don't forget to get registered for Wing Ding 31. The final cutoff is June 15th. Melissa and the Event Management Team have some wonderful surpises planned for this year, so you won't want to miss this year's "Pow Wow."

For those of you that have not heard of our Renewal Program, please read the details below. The program, with some great prizes, will go through the end of this year culminating with a grand prize!

Finally, for those folks who have been around as long as I have (Member #2085) ...check out the latest contest we are unvailing, "Name the Spirit of GWRRA!" Check out the details below and watch Wing World for more details...but you heard it here first!

Ride safe, Ed

Julie is from Hartland, Wisconsin. She moved here with her parents when she was 15 years old because her dad was attending a Motocycle Mechanic School here in the Valley.

She has worked here at GWRRA for a little over a year now, and is enjoying working in the Member Services Department. She is glad to work at a motorcycle association, because she has had a love for motorcycles since she could reach the pegs. She has had her motorcycle licence for seven years now.

In Member Services, Julie helps answer the phone calls, process new and renewal memberships, and process Wing Ding orders. She also helps package and send out New Member and Renewal Packets and takes orders for Official Products at our Home Office.

On a personal note, Julie is a wife to a wonderful man named Jason, and a mother of three. In her spare time she loves going for motorcycle rides with her husband, camping, scrapbooking and spending time with family and friends.

Pin & Patch Logo

GW Pin and Patch, a  Division of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association, takes pride in providing a great service to the GWRRA membership. As General Manager, I have been told we save 20% to 30%, and sometimes more, on the cost of their custom pins and patches compared to our competition for our customers.

In these tough economic times, you can depend on us to keep your costs low. As stated in my emails to all chapters "I will go the extra mile to get you what you want, when you need it, at the best price. You are not just a customer, you are my client, and I work for you."

I also want to let you know that we are not just a supplier to the GWRRA organization. Other customers such as The Blue Knights, Knights of Columbus, Masons, Southern California Motorcycle Association. "Four Corners Tour" and the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation "Ride For Kids" have all benefited from our low pricing and great quality.

So, if you are a member in another organization, let them know you have a great supplier for their Pins and Patches. We will help you through the complete process of getting your custom pins or patches delivered on time. I will work closely with you from start to finish. We will create preliminary artwork sketches to final production artwork so you will know exactly what you are getting. Our delivery time is three-to-four weeks from the day you approve the production artwork.

With your first pin or patch order, you will receive a $10.00 voucher/gift certificate towards your next order or purchase of any GWRRA Official Products.
