We Want YOU.

It's that time of year for planning ahead. The Winchester Chamber membership has had unprecedented growth over the past year and several new initiatives successfully launched. Now is the time to stand up and be counted! I want to hear from YOU immediately regarding your interest in being considered for a position on the Board of Directors. You may also recommend a colleague for consideration to the nominating committee.

Going forward, in addition to attendance at monthly Board meetings, EVERY Director will be expected to assume responsibility on a committee or fundraising activity. In order to assure a steady stream of "new blood and energy" we will be placing more emphasis on upholding the by-law requiring members to rotate off the board after 4 consecutive years. Then with a one year hiatus, that member would be eligible once again to be nominated back onto the Board.

Not interested in a Board position at this time? Then consider volunteering to help on a committee. It's a great way to get into the action and share ideas for ways we can better support you and your business.

We are already thinking about plans for the holiday season, planning the calendar for Midnite Madness and fundraising for the holiday lighting of Winchester center.

We are also redesigning our Winchester gift certificate format so that more people will purchase them and shop locally. Our goal is to help increase business for all of our members.

If you have any ideas to contribute to the success of these items we would love to hear from you.
