President's Message
A big thank you to Cindy Hale
and OTW Communications for presenting a fabulous program f  or Chamber members in July on maximizing our business potential with social media. Her custom presentation to some 25 businesses was truly an "eye opener."
Downtown retailers, including Eric at Kids Footstop, myself at Book Ends, and the people at the toy store have successfully launched an August Shop & Save promotion when shopping at 2 or 3 of our stores on the same day. Lori & Ray at Pairings continue to sell several books featuring wine pairings from Book Ends. Many other shops have summer sales too so plan to check them out.
Watch for Art in August displays in stores and businesses all over town as well as art sales and the annual Art in the Park celebration on the Common August 27th during Farmer's Market.
The Chamber office, opened 3 weekdays this summer, is bursting with ideas for programs and new and returning members are joining weekly! Anne Rebello from AR Decorating helped launch our Chamber MANY years ago so her perspective and experience will be so helpful to other business owners/managers. We have a large number of members, but are begging for a bit more commitment, especially by Board Members, where only about 10 membersseem to do all the work! I want to hear from you on ideas, concerns, or any topic where the Chamber might provide assistance. jmanzo@bookendswinchester.com
