President's MessageJudy Manzo

While we surely welcome the "lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer" - we still have businesses to run!

I know some of us will continue meeting over the downtown parking planning and we retailers need to gather to continue fostering ideas for collaboration and keeping shoppers in our downtown.

We know that our business base is relatively small on size but it is HUGE on impact! The beauty of our town and quality of life are reasons why Winchester continues to be a top choice community for new families.

I am ALWAYS interested in hearing from YOU and sharing ideas for improving our business climate. Call me anytime- meet for coffee or a glass of wine.

Executive Director's message

I cannot believe that the month of June is upon us and many of you will be leaving for vacation in the next few weeks.  This year has beenCathyPortrait

one of the most challenging, productive and satisfying thanks to all of the contributions YOU have made to the Chamber.

We hope that you have taken advantage of your membership and attended some of our monthly board meetings, luncheon meetings, and special events that we have hosted over the past nine months.  We hope that you have visited our very informative website, read our monthly newsletters and will now receive our new Directory which will be mailed to every household in Winchester so that you are well informed as to all the Chamber offers you.  Have a most restful and healthy summer.  The Chamber will remain open for the summer months.  Check the website for hours.

Once again, Salter Heathcare is generously partnering with the Winchester Chamber of Commerce for the Town Day Barbecue on June 4th held right by the Winchester Common - hotdogs, hamburgers, fruitcups, drinks and cookies for your entire family to enjoy - 11:00am - 2:00pm.

Cathy Alexander

Executive Director  Winchester Chamber of Commerce

You are invited to attend our

June 1, 2011 board meeting at 7:45 AM at The Chamber Offices

We need your input on the proposed

Winchester Town Center Parking Management Plan

that will be explained to all of you at this time.

Parking

For months, members of our board have worked with the planning board, selectmen and town employees to come up with what is best for all the businesses. Chris Mulhern will make this presentation. We urge all Chamber Members to attend so that you can have your voice heard on this important matter.

Join us at the Town Day BBQ on the Common.

BBQ

The Chamber of Commerce once again will be manning the popular BBQ stand from 11AM - 2:00PM. Stop by for delicious hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, fruit cups and soft drinks.  The Chamber BBQ stand is sponsored by Salter Health Care and we thank them for their genereous contribution to this event. See you there!
