President's MessageJudy Manzo

May is a month of trees bursting into bloom, grass turning green, and perennials poking their heads through the now thawed soil. It's a time of remarkable energy and change. And the beat goes on... it ought to be a time of renewed hope and inspiration in your business as well. With the Chamber you are part of a large, versatile, and dynamic group of businesses. Plan to attend a board meeting or other scheduled event and have conversations with folks who share many of your same hopes and frustrations. You are not alone! Feel free to share these thoughts with me as well (jmanzo@bookendswinchester.com) so that I might include your suggestions in topics of discussion in future gatherings.
Together we can strengthen our business community far better than going it alone.

We are off to a great start this year - the Women Helping Women Event - Project Runway was a huge success - 500 ladies at the Burlington Marriott were treated to a fashion show and gala night. Many thanks go to Dot Butler, Kim Miles, Anne Lucas for her tireless work on the ad book and many others who made this event a night to remember. Now we look ahead to the Citizen of the Year Night to honor Charles Price and Chuck Boerner - worthy recipients of this year's award. We also have the Rotary/Chamber Luncheon and the Garden Tour coming up fast - so we look forward to a busy and prosperous Spring for everyone.
