Executive Director's message
I would like to take this opportunity to express my most sincere thanks and appreciation to our President, Christopher Mulhern for leading the Winchester Chamber of Commerce for the past two years. Under his watch, we were able to successfully convince town meeting to increase the number of liquor licenses, reduce the number of seats required for a full liquor license paving the way for the Blackhorse Tavern, defeat tax classification so that commercial properties remained at the same tax rate and continue our strong beautification projects which makes Winchester so more attractive than many other places to live and do business. The new and improved Winchester Chamber of Commerce website was one of his goals which is a great asset to our membership. He was very involved in helping with the Cal Ripkin tournament and bringing the visitors to our center area. Chris has on many occasions been able to articulate the mission of the chamber before town meeting, selectmen's meetings and to the other various groups where he has represented the chamber so well. He is always clear, concise and well spoken. He has made himself available for the many requests from outside groups to speak and to help spread the message as to how important the chamber is to the business community. Chris-you have served us so well. We are fortunate that you will continue to serve on our board and play an active role in future discussions with the planning board on proposed zoning changes. Chris, you are an amazing architect, leader and friend. Thank you so much Cathy Alexander Executive Director
