President's Message
Chris Mullen

As if we had forgotten, we've had two harsh reminders of why this place was first called Waterfield. Many of us have suffered losses of property and business as a result of the back to back storms.  Thanks to the DPW and public safety staff of Winchester, these unpleasant and expensive disruptions have, for the most part, been manageable.
On a brighter note, the beta version of the data base search features have been installed on the Chamber website thanks to Glen Doyle and the coding gnomes at WinCentral.  A searchable data base link has been established to allowing queries by name or keyword of our membership listings. In addition, an alphabet search can be made of the all business listings for Winchester with Chamber member businesses coming up at the top.  In the final version, due next month, both search modes will be available for both locations on the website. The best feature is the direct link to individual business websites from the search results field; this should generate traffic to our sites.
The listing format allows a picture or logo to be posted as well as a text block which is searched for keywords. The process is simple:  log on to the WinCentral website, verify your business name, fill in the membership form, add a picture, add some text, and hit save. That's all there is to it; there is no cost and it takes about five minutes to get it all done.
Thanks to Kim and Dot for their efforts in bringing the Women Helping Women event together.  I hope you will encourage the women in your life to purchase tickets for the April 7 event, it should be a fun time.

As mentioned above by Chris Mulhern, the Women Helping Women Event is coming up April 7th - it's the Battle of the Broads - Winchester's Ultimate Game Show.
A few tables are still available through the Chamber
