Dear Friend,

This week I want to express my gratitude to the Lord for the encouragement of fellow brothers and sisters in the Lord.  Those of you "who love our Lord Jesus Christ with an undying love" (Ephesians 6:24), who are so passionate about your relationship with Him, and who daily seek Him in His Word, faithfully praying for all the saints - be blessed, His kingdom progresses because of you!

Last week, although I may have felt alone at the pool, I never once doubted that the Lord wasn't right there with me, and that the girls were at all out of His grasp, but I was, however, terribly disappointed in the lack of response of the people around me.  People who could see what was happening right before their very eyes, who were right there, and yet would not be moved to take part.  "Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand" (Matthew 13:13).  One friend wrote to remind me of the words of Jesus on the cross:  "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing" (Luke 23:34a).  In my anger, that night at the pool, the Lord showed me compassion, and convicted me of my own complacency.  The reality is, there are many who do not have eyes to see, but, as believers, we do.  As followers of Jesus Christ we have been blessed "with every spiritual blessing in Christ" (reference Ephesians 1:3), and should not hesitate to repond when the Lord provides an opportunity.  Each day, we are presented with the simple task, and a holy privilege, to study the Word of God and to lift our voices in prayer.  We should joyfully desire to spend time with our Lord in this way!  May we make every effort to seek Him with all our hearts!

One of the enemy's greatest tactics for rendering believers useless for the work of the Kingdom of God is to make us feel isolated and discouraged.  The enemy works overtime to distract us, keeping us busy, and making us feel alone.  Corrie ten Boom said, "The enemy finds great humor when we are up to our ears in work, but he trembles in fear when we are on our knees in prayer".  Today, be encouraged that you are not alone in your pursuit of the Lord.  There are many believers who share your passion for the Lord, and who are standing in the gap alongside you, exercising their faith and anticipating the Lord's return while they wait!  The Lord finds tremendous pleasure in the time you are spending with Him.  As you seek Him in His Word may you be strengthened in your faith, and encouraged in your walk.  May the Seed of His Word produce a harvest of righteousness in your life and draw many into the Kingdom of God!

This week we begin week 3 of our HARVEST journey.  I pray His Word is alive in your life, and jumping off the page with fresh revelation.  I pray also that the hours of your day that you are committing to seeking the Lord are multiplied in service towards Him, and to accomplishing the task before you.  May your faith be increased, and the doors of opportunity be opened to you to share the good news of the gospel of grace to everyone the Lord brings across your path.  May you be used mightily for His glory, honor, and praise!  Be blessed!

"I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know Him better.  I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the  hope to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints, and His incomparably great power for us who believe!" (Ephesians 1:17-19a)
