On behalf of Trumpet and Torch Ministries, I am pleased to announce "Fan into Flame", a blog created to work in tandem with our parent website.

 

Beginning on September 1st and coinciding with the first day of the"Proclaim Liberty" journey, Fan into Flame will offer daily refections and encouragement for our dedicated Christian friends.

 

 The Fan into Flame reflections are meant to be an extra portion, a "second helping", to provide additional oil for your lamp. They are not a replacement for the 40-day journeys* or for God's Holy Word, but, rather, they are meant to supplement the "meat" on your plate. They are a garnish, if you will.

 

Additionally, the blog offers you an opportunity to add your own comments, thoughts, prayers, and praises to the  posted reflections. Your contributions will bless others and further unite us as the Lord knits together His faithful followers in the Body of Christ.

 

Fan into Flame can be accessed from Temple page of the website (which houses the 40-day devotional journies*); look for the Fan into Flame blog button in the menu bar. It can also be directly accessed at http://trumpetandtorch.blogspot.com.  Subscription services (available on the main blog page) are offered for those who prefer to manage blog roll reading with a service such as Google Reader or Bloglines.

 
During this next week, especially if this will be your first 40-day journey, please familiarize yourself with the available resources on theTrumpet and Torch website. Our "FAQ" link is a helpful resource if you have questions or concerns about fasting. At the bottom of our "Family Time" page, you'll find helpful resources such as meal planning and some wonderful printable placemats for children. You may want to watch these videos, found within the Media & Press link, which explain more about the vision and purpose of Trumpet and Torch Ministries.
