we need more like you!
|
We need your help! YWCA's In the Company of Women luncheon is one of the most successful fundraising events in the state of Connecticut. This event brings together an amazing group of women--and a few good men--to share an afternoon of laughter and inspiration. As a Table Captain, you play a vital role, and we need more like you. Please help us recruit Table Captains.

happy holidays!
 |
Employees of The Hartford brought some holiday cheer to children at YWCA Hartford Region's Growing Tree Early Learning Center (see article below for info about our child care programs) with a special visit from Santa and his elves. Each child at the center received a toy, article of clothing and personal photo with Santa. Photo Credit: The Hartford.

what to do this week
make a list...
"She's making a list and checking it twice; Gonna find out who's...coming to the luncheon!"
- We hope having a wonderful time with family and friends is at the top of your list.
Next Week: - Reflect on all the wonderful people who helped you in 2011, make a list of women and men that you would like to invite to the 2012 In the Company of Women luncheon. Your list should include 2-3 times as many people as needed to fill your table commitment; Inevitably, some people will be out of town or otherwise unable to join you on March 20, 2012. Put a star * by anyone's name who you think would make a good Table Captain.
- Need a New Year's Resolution? We have one for you! Promise to recruit at least one Table Captain. This is great way to support your community and make a difference in 2012--knowing that your efforts directly benefit YWCA's programs and services.
- Leverage your social networking sites (LinkedIn, Facebook or Twitter) to announce your Table Captain status. You may find that some people contact you to get a seat at your table. Refer to the Social Media Guide for tips.

ywca program highlight
providing a stable future with quality child care

Convenient, affordable, quality child care is what we deliver...preparing low income children to succeed. YWCA gives parents peace of mind by assuring that their children are in good hands with dedicated and trained staff in programs where children learn and have fun.
YWCA's Early Learning Centers offer quality child care for infants, toddlers and preschoolers for families with low to moderate incomes in racially diverse communities. YWCA's Early Learning Centers prepare children for kindergarten with activities that stimulate physical, mental, social and emotional development. Families are engaged in their children's learning to improve academic success. Programs are located in Hartford, East Hartford and West Hartford. YWCA also provides an important community service by offering YW Kidslink, a before- and after-school child care program that offers creative activities for students in kindergarten through 5th grade. This program keeps kids safe, improve academic success and teach children the values of diversity and respect for others. The program is offered in Bolton, Rocky Hill, West Hartford and Wethersfield.
