 Credentialing for Energy Efficiency Work

SkillWorks: Green Collar Career Pathways Initiative invites you to an interactive discussion for Green Job Training Programs in Greater Boston on Thursday, March 3, 2011 from 12:00 - 2:00pm at The Boston Foundation. Lunch will be provided.

The topic for the March 3rd discussion will be credentialing for energy efficiency.
This meeting will be an interactive discussion between training programs and invited guests on the credentialing requirements and what certifications are appropriate for certain energy efficiency jobs.
  • Brian Hayden from HeatSpring Learning Institute will present on BPI credentialing including the two new certification levels and will share informal feedback on how credentialing is used in the field.

  • Aaron Desatnik from The Green Roundtable will talk about green building certifications - LEED and HERS - and discuss how to obtain these credentials.

A representative from MassGREEN will also give a brief update on how parts of the MassGREEN curriculum have been tailored to prepare students for the new BPI certifications.
