Announcing our next Youth Pastor's Connection

April 14, 2011 (Thursday)
Noon - 3 p.m.

Bethlehem Covenant Church - note venue change
(5 blocks from the NWC)
3141 S. 43rd Ave
Minneapolis 55406

One special feature this month is Kyle Gunderson and Jason Hovis, our NWC CHIC liaison's, will be providing updates, t-shirts and more to prepare us for our push toward CHIC 2012 as churches. Because Kyle and Jason really want you there they are also providing everyone who attends with lunch. So now we can attest to the fact that every once in a while there really is a free lunch in life!

Tim CicconeIn addition, we are excited to have been able to reschedule Tim Ciccone for our training time this month. Tim is the pastor to high school and college students at Hillcrest Covenant Church in Prairie Village, KS, and the author of "In Transit: A Youth Workers Guide to Navigating a New Beginning." He also happens to be a part of the CHIC counsel. As you recall the snow kept him away in January.

He will be addressing the topic: "TRANSITIONS IN YOUTH MINISTRY." Every youth worker goes through transition in his or her career at various points. Transitioning from one ministry to another can be very challenging. Tim will facilitate discussion on practical steps for embracing a new call, leaving your previous position well, and navigating a healthy and effective beginning at your new ministry site.

You don't have to currently be in transition to feel a part of this conversation. Those of you who have been through transition can add to the discussion with thoughts and insights concerning the joys and challenges from your experience.

We hope you can join us! Don't Bring a Lunch - Lunch will be provided by our CHIC liaisons. A time to connect with, learn from & support one another!
